Do you think the United States it the Greatest Country in the World?

I thought I would of got a better answer to this. oh well. man. I thought there would be some pride here in the US. guess everyone has a stick up there ass. now Im starting to think are country sucks because of people like you. thats why no one likes u. because of people like you. cant decide. putting up for vote. enjoy life as we know it. it might not exist someday....

- This is too subjective. I've traveled lots of places, and lived abroad, but I really do like living here, even with our faults as a nation. This place isn't for everyone. I think there's value in that we are at least TRYING to improve ourselves. You also have to define what you consider great.
- That is not fair. If you wanted an open discussion on your question why did you ask your question and follow it immediately with your own answer. And like somebody said, "What is your criteria for Greatness."The US is the most militarily powerful country in the world but it ranks abysmally low on Infant mortality statistics. ED: If you don't like the answers that people are giving you -- I myself noticed some very forthright, honest answers from people who are seeing through the propaganda you presented-- then why don't you withdraw your question.
- Let me ask you: Are you better off than you were 7 years ago? America may be # 1, but keep letting the right empower the rich even more and we'll have a two-class system, just like South America. # 1 but the flow chart is point toward the ground, my friend.
- If the only way to get a best answer from you is to agree, I'm just fine with not having it. I think that this was an overly simplified article with a distortion of statistics. It made me irritated just to read because I know that the author knows how distorted they made it and that it was entirely too subjective. Take a methods class before you determine whether or not the statistics were distorted, otherwise you aren't educated enough to make that decision.
- No I do not and I can't wait to sell my house and get the hell out:) It is a beautiful country...with some wonderful people in it...But it's governmental power over everyone has gone to it's blood drenched head and is making me sick. Peace!
