Why do you think Yahoo took off their Discussion tab under all their news articles?

Yahoo said they were just removing the "discussion" tab temporarily from news articles, but it's been down for several months and doesn't appear to be ever coming back. The Yahoo message boards for the finance section (i.e. stockmarket) is still active. Why do you suppose that Yahoo has removed the ability to comment on their newsmedia?

1. May be they took the people who work on 'discussion' feature and made them work on this Yahoo Answer. Or may be they're some how trying to integrate this Yahoo Answer into news discussion. I think this Yahoo Answer was created around the time discussion thing was axed. I think they may be looking to use this with news discussion some how. And it makes sense. But that's just my guess.
2. I wasn't in Yahoo then but this sounds good, I wish they would put it bacy
3. Could be that the news discussion boards had grown too popular to moderate? Some of the stuff posted on there would get you jail time if you were to say it on the street. Roger Moore will be happy anyway!
