Is majoring in finance in college still a good choice?
I'm a freshman in college, hoping to go into finance & math. I've been told by certain people that, with this economic recession, perhaps I should consider changing majors. Others still say that in 4 years the economy will be well back on its way again. I'm just not sure if finance still has a promising future. I'm wondering what people think. Will the economy fully recover to the way it was before anytime soon? Any suggestions? I'm also thinking of actuarial sciences. But it's a tough field...

- You could make "big bucks" in actuarial science. I don't think you should change your major just because certain people think you should. If you truly enjoy what you are learning and think that you can be happy in career that utilitizes finance and math - go for it, and don't let anyone stand in your way! Good luck to you!
