Is there any good homebased businesses that are not about selling anothers product?

I live in a trailer court, I have computer and motorcycle mechanic background. I am trying to figure out some off the wall business idea. I have seen some of the ads on the net, but most of them are MLM's or selling a particular product. I wouldn't mind creating my own product, I am limit with space, finances, and currently my mind is drawing blanks. Looking for something with a low startup cost. Right now I am mainly looking for ideas that I haven't thought of.

  2. Willys, If there isn't a product or service, there is NO business. If you didn't need food, you wouldn't go to the grocery store. If you didn't need Internet, why would you subscribe? I have been working from home for 4 1/2 years and while the company I partnered with has products, It is not MLM and I dont have to sell anything. I dont have to stock, deliver or collect money either. I could explain if you are serious about working from home. I would provide free training, support and web site to help you build your business too. Let me know and we can go from there.
  3. Generally you are going to need some form of a product to market. Doesn't matter if it's an ebook or a calling card - no product no sales. Instead of focusing on a product you need to focus more on a strong company that offers a real online marketing education, mentorship and training on how to succeed online. This information will help you more because then no matter what company you choose in the future you'll have the expertise to do well no matter what the product is. Tim
  4. Find something you know about, are passionate about and/or create your own product and promote it on-line. As a motorcycle enthusiast - it could be a newsletter that advises on the best or mechanically stable motorcycles for new buyers. Or, you could provide mechanical advice on-line. It doesn't have to be something related to your working background. It could be something you consider a hobby. But it must be something you enjoy doing. Note: working for yourself takes time, discipline and commitment.
