How to learn trading as a student while still in college?.?

I will soon be graduating in Summer 2007. I am an undergraduate student majoring in Finance at BARUCH COLLEGE in New York. I have done finance internship at Merrill lynch in the global private client group. I didnt really like the internship experience. I would like to get into the trading . I wont be interning during the spring semester as I have advanced level finance classes as well as a regular part time job as a server at a restaurant during weekends. Any site that offers tutorial or would like to hear from an experienced trader. I could google and find out some of these information, but would like to receive a personalized feedback from experienced professionals. Thank you. SK NEW YORK

  1. Sign up with trading sample applications. I started learning the trade in Forex through Internet based tools. There are a lot of companies that are offering free testing applications that link directly with the markets in realtime but do not trade with any actual money involved. These tools are very good for studies and practice.
  2. I'd recommend giving up dreams of 'trading' and instead learning to invest. There's a big difference between the two, and in the long term only one is going to make you money (investing). Check out the website in the sources below if you want to learn from some real guru's.
  3. Have you ever considered working as a finacial planner? I know a lot of fin planners who used to be in other areas.
