i want to be a doctor in the usa!! but i live in england?

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!!! i have a masters degree in pharmacy (MPHARM) and i want to go to the USA and become a neuro surgeon (it is my dream) . does anyone know how I can do this? will I be accepted into medical schools with a british degree even though british degrees are far more comprehensive? does it help that I have a degree in pharmacy??? also finance is not a problem!!! and is there and age limit?

  1. i dont think there is an age limit but GO FOR IT!! follow your dream. the only thing that will be different is your accent. MEDICAL ANYTHING is calling your name. do what you think is right.

Most who ask about entry into medical school later in life I have to warn about prerequisite courses, but in your case I'm pretty sure if your MPharm is reasonably recent you'll have no problems. There are a smattering of medical students in their forties, so being older is not shocking. The MCAT will probably be your only obstacle. Have you written any schools? Your pharmacy degree may be an edge, and even moreso if you were to hint at helping out in pharmacology class.
  3. The only way I could think for you to do is contact some colleges here in the USA and let them know your background and what you want to do.
