How likely am I to get into a good law school?

I have over a 3.7 GPA. I'm a psychology and finance double major, and I also have a minor in Asian studies. I am currently interning at a large mutual fund services company and I'm fairly involved on campus, even though I think I could improve on that. Also, I help my family manage our small business.

  1. LSAT, despite all the other stuff being great you must do well on your LSAT. You should take the one in September of this year if you plan on applying for next year. Your LSAT score is weighed heavily by admissions.
  2. You sound like you'd have a better shot at it than I did, and I made it. I only had a 2.7, but I also had a 35 on the LSAT. It was good enough to get into the IU School of Law at Indianapolis. But then again, that was in 1985.
  3. Sounds to me like you are on the right track. My son went to Marshall Law College in Cleveland, Ohio. To day he is an assistant DA in a large city. Good Luck. If you really want it, you can do it.
  4. You didn't mention the LSAT in your question, obviously that will play a part in getting in Law School. There are many "Good" law schools around the country, assume you have a couple in mind? If so I would begin doing your homework on what each school is looking for in a prospective law student.
  5. keep up your GPA and do well on the LSAT, and you should have a really good chance of getting into a good law school
