  1. It depends on your career goals. If you are entering Law to be rich, then Finance will help this goal If you are entering Law to be famous, then Political Science will help. Good Luck....
  2. Do you have an area of law that you are looking to practice in? I know people who have majored in both fields and do well. However, it seems to me that a background in political science would possibly leave more options open. If you have a strong interest in business law, finance might be the way to go. If you are interested in litigation, political science would probably be best.
  3. If you find that law is not your bag than you can always rely on Finance to start your own business up regardless of whether it is in law or not. If you want to be a governor or a political pundent then go for the political science. My hunch is you will touch on some of the political science stuff in Law but you won't touch on some of the Finance in Law.
  4. There is more competition to get into law school with a political science major. I'd go for the finance.
  5. Finance. It's more broad of an area and you will be more competitive in getting accepted.
  6. To be honest, whichever major you will get the best grades in. The diversity factors others are citing will not come into play if you don’t have a high enough GPA to get into the school of your choice (besides, neither is going to be a unique major for a law school applicant). Law School admissions people know that your undergraduate classes will not help you much in law classes (sad, but true). They want to see someone who will work their tail off for three years to get high marks. A high GPA will prove that to them. Major in whichever subject you think you will be the most interested in, the most willing to pour hours into, and the most likely to do well in.
