finance about

I am a finance major considering going to law school, is it worth it?

I dont necessarily want to practice, but i would focus in business law. I could start out somewhere and eventually have my own financial/law firm. Any suggestions or ideas?

  3. I have 12 years finance background and can tell you for a fact that business law is the way to go! my brother-in-law is commercial lawyer and is doing very well. I think you should do your CMA (certified management accountancy) before you go into business law. It will provide you with a competitive edge in the business world. have a nice day:)
  4. My uncle majored in Finance at Penn and went to Harvard law. He started out as a tax attorney in Philadelphia, moved to New York and worked at Bears Stearns investment bank in the legal department. About 12 years ago he moved over to the derivatives and now is a managing director at Bear Stearns and makes more money than anyone else in my family. If you like money, it's the way to go.
  5. Your consideration for Financial Law is an excellent idea. Maybe you can also consider working with the Federal Government (HUD) or Financial Institutions to address the area of homelessness enabling others to become self sufficient. Best of luck to you.
