- dude ... this is not a problem ... just get to a college and pursue what u want to do .... out of school doesnt matter if u WANT to. u can take evening classes ... or classes tht can match your schedule. u r now experienced anough to get a decent job. u can even take online classes if u think u dont want to go to classes. university of florida has a good bachelor of bus. ad. degree thts online. a lot of other very good univs have this kind of degree too. or do some professional certification / enhancement courses in a comm. college and tht is often enough to get a decent job (alongside with your exp).
- I'm so sorry to hear that you are so distressed. I'm also sorry that you lost your parents, bless your heart. That's a tough road, so sorry. Yet, you're only 33, you're young and healthy, but depressed and distressed. You're not a failure at all, you went to college, graduated and have an admirable degree. You're too hard on yourself and you have so much to offer. Stop that, you should be very proud of yourself! Dead end jobs come and go...say, "Goodbye, good riddance". I can tell you this: My husband was in banking for years, literally, banks, and he disliked it. He got into the auto business by default, so to speak, (offer from a friend). He never respected those "car guys" because of urban legend (crooks), but decided to give it a go. He had to start as a salesman (thought he was gonna die), temporarily, just for the training. My husband is not mechanically inclined, has no interest in the workings of an engine, etc. Two months later, he was in the finance department as a closer (finance manager) only because of his finance degree/experience, like you. The hours were long, but the pay was outstanding (low 100k). This was 18 years ago. They're not the "bad guys" as he suspected. They're finance specialists, they know their job and how to help the consumer and make money at the same time. The ones in the finance department who "scam" the consumer are readily weeded out by the banks, if not by their superiors. My husband is the Finance Director of a very reputable Lexus dealership in South Florida and earns a very handsome income. His "4 guys" are all under 40 and all have a six figure income, but they work long hours, as does my husband. The reason I'm giving up so much information here is to let you know that there are other viable options with your Finance Degree, just try to think outside of the box and by no means, whatsoever, should you consider yourself as a failure. Feel free to e-mail me for support whenever you want. We have been surrogate parents to many of our children's friends. Forget the gun, you don't have to defend yourself against yourself. Take heart, Darlin', please don't give up. I'll talk to you all day long. Take care, be well, God bless you.
