Will the government pay for graduate school?

I am currently a government employee looking at going to graduate school full-time. However, I wish to have my employer finance my graduate studies (MBA). It seems however, from my research, not a lot of government agencies pay for graduate school, or at least my agency doesn't. Is this more common of private companies or am I looking in the wrong places in the government?

  1. Some companies reimburse you for completion semester by semester--you shell out the money first, then, they pay you back. You have to complete and pass the class. I can only imagine a government agency would fund your eduction! You can also try obtaining a graduate assistantship, or part-time one. These will cover (or partially cover) tuition, give you a stipend, and a partial meal plan if you wish in exchange for your work.
