Engagement rings?
We have been ring shopping and found the one I want but the only problem is that we can not get financed. He has okay credit because he has two credit cards. we don't have the extra cash to pay for it outright, and we don't want the layaway option. Are there any places where they let you do payment options while still being able to take home the ring? Ring is only $1100. This is my second marriage so there is not going to be a big and expensive wedding, reception, or honeymoon.

- you can try and take a loan out from the bank i suppose? :)
- Do not buy a ring that you cannot afford! If you go into debt over the engagement ring, how on Earth to you intend to pay for a wedding, honeymoon, buy a house, etc....? Be smart about your finances. If you cannot afford the ring, don't buy it. Love doesn't mean you have to have a ring on your finger! Addition: Doesn't matter that the ring is ONLY $1100 or that this is your 2nd marriage. You do NOT go into debt over a silly engagement ring. Love is NOT measured by the size of the ring on your finger.
- He should not be buying you a ring which he cannot afford. He should be saving for the ring, or just buying one he can buy right now. It's really stupid to go into debt over just a ring. Not a great way to start a second marriage for you, otherwise!
- Either wait & save the money, or find a less expensive ring.
- this sounds corny, but for my second engagement i purchased a diamonique set from qvc. it is platinum clad and 3.2 cts with a matching band was only $90. i know it sounds cheap, and it is. but i get a million compliments on it, more than i ever got on the $5k set my first husband bought me. it is what the ring means , not know much it costs. plus the qvc rings have a lifetime warrrenty.
- I'm afraid I agree with the others. If you can't afford the ring, then either put it on lay-away, save some money (put aside the money you would have paid on the loan), or find one that you can afford. Even if you're not planning on a big wedding and honeymoon, going into debt for the engagement ring isn't smart. The ring is just a symbol. If you're really in love, the ring will wait.
- I really recommend going on Ebay and seeing if you can find something similar at a much lower price. There are a lot of people who sell used rings there for absolutely great prices. You just have to be sure that the seller has a lot of very good feedback. You don't want to start your marriage making payments on your ring. Good luck.
- In order to take the ring home, you'll have to get it financed or pay for it in full. Why not just save the money every month and then get it once you have everything?? It is just like lay-away, but you can save on your own time.
- Bidz.com got a 27K valued ring for 129.15 they have the ring valued at just 20K. Had it checked at the Shane company and found out it was worth more than that.
