Engagement Ring Help?

I am going to be getting engaged soon and my girlfriend likes Tacori engagement rings. I do not want to be cheap, but also I want to get a good deal on the ring. Any ideas on where I could get a nice ring ideal price range is up to $4,000? Also any special offers of financing going on now. I know some places will do zero percent interest.

  1. Get her a nice ring, and then focuse on paying it off later. Enjoy being engaged, forget about the costs.
  2. ebay. you could bid really low and she would never know. Thrift shops work well too... or you could try robbery...... lol jk jk jk ignore me...
  3. Go to well known jewelers in your area, not chains. This way you will get good quality diamonds, not the kind imported from Taiwan or China. Too much junk sold on eBay. My brother--in-law used to sell on eBay but stopped when the junk started circulating at cut rate prices.
  4. you could try bluenile.com http://mulloysjewelry.com/listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?banner=tacori&idCategory=100 http://www.topperjewelers.com/all_brands/all_designers/tacori/
  5. Pick a Tacori design you like then take it to a local jewler and have them recreate it for you. Saves tons when you aren't paying for designer markup and looks the same. As far as financing you need to have really great credit to do the 0% and you need to read the contract carefully and be sure you can make the payments to have it taken care of before the promo period is over. Besides the fact that it would be beyond sucky to have her engagement ring reposessed many of those plans have hidden fees where if you don't pay if all off they tack on all the back interest and you get a really high rate. If you can, wait until the holiday season is in full swing. Many stores offer up to 70% off clearance sales to take advantage of X-mas shopping and get rid of that year's inventory to make room for new...just like cars. You could buy online but really I always reccomend buying from a shop. For a few reasons: 1. If for some reason you need to exchange for a diff. design or something online stores won't let you 2. Later on down the road when you want to upgrade to a better quality stone or a bigger one most stores have deals where they will give you part or all of what you purchased the first stone for as a credit towards the new one. Online stores don't do this. 3. Online places don't offer lifetime warranties. If you go with a jewler most of them will cover the cost of any repairs, resizing, and replace any lost or damaged stones for free. This is invaluable in the long term. First poster is an idiot. You don't spend ungodly amounts of money on rings and stuff when you have no way of paying it back. Somebody better get used to the word Bankruptcy because it's definately in their future.
  6. I have no idea why she would like those so much, they're nothing special - in that, there are lots of beautiful engagement rings available from different companies which are very similar. DO NOT go into debt over a ring or finance one. That's simply stupid. You will be having enough costs with paying for the wedding. Just choose something in a price range which you can afford, you can get gorgeous rings for well under a grand. A mature woman will appreciate the significance of the sybolism of the ring, not just be in it for the bling. http://www.zales.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2526695&cp=2109180.2137034.&kpc=1&parentPage=search&searchId=19160491513 http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5064617
