finance about

I am buying a used car on finance for about £3000 from car craft and may be part exchanging with my own...?

Is there anything that I need to be wary of with this company, how to get a good deal, or any other helpful reviews if you have been a customer with them. Thanks

  1. You want to be careful ,as they charge a very high percentage rate. If you have done the deal at Wednesbury carcraft, make sure they haven't bullied you into anything.
  2. I would be very wary of this company they ripped my son off the interest is unbelievable high You don't realise until you get home They keep you there for hours after so much talking to you they really confuse you then you dont realise what you have signed until its to late
  3. Steer clear in my view. Have you been able to test drive? Barter? View the car alone? Scrutinised the small print on any guarantee? Checked their APR and total repayable? I'll let you decide. It's a buyer's market. Get on yer toes and find a real bargain.
  4. I bought a car from them 6 years ago,I felt I was bullied into getting the warranty which I didn't want. It turned out I was right as our friend who's a mechanic told us afterwards. The finance was high too, so 2 months later I got a 6.5% loan from direct line and paid their finance off, not only were my payments lower, but it meant i paid the car off a year earlier. You would be far better getting a loan from direct line first and having cash with you then you can negotiate, also used cars are better sold privately, you will get much more for it.
  5. The APR is probably about 20% for a car loan on 3000 pound, The car is probably overpriced and don't pay for a warranty. Their are plenty of car warrantys(gold) available on the internet for around £35 a month(check out autotrader on the internet for loan's,warranty's,and general car prices, etc). It would be cheaper to buy the car on your credit card with a standard rate of 15% - then balance transfer onto 0% cards for 12months,etc and save some money). Do the deal if you must but say i will come back in 24hrs to sign paperwork when i have read the small print and this will take the pressure off you to buy straight away!. Good luck
