  1. Write down a budget, all you have to do is write down your income, or what you have to spend. Then write down everything you MUST have (bills, phone, food, clothes what not) then think about how much you spend on recreation. Try to cut that down by 25% and save the rest! It works for me!
  2. keep spending down. get a part time job. spend less than you make. save 10% and invest if for you future.
  3. And make sure you don't borrow any more than you absolutely have to.
  4. 1. Live on less than you make. 2. Stay as far away from debt as you can. 3. Create a written budget that includes all your bill. The first entries should be your essentials like: shelter, food, utilities. Include a savings and a blow entry. We all blow money so we may as well include it in the budget. Three simple rules that will put you on the road to financial success.
  5. Get the Total Money Makeover book by Dave Ramsey. He advocates a debt free life. Never charging anything on credit cards, never taking out student loans. Paying cash for car. Try it, you'll be glad you did.
  6. Many people think that sticking to a budget means they won't be able to have the things they want. In fact, the opposite is true. A budget can help you preserve your lifestyle AND pay off debt while saving for the future. But if you sometimes have trouble making ends meet, a formal month-to-month spending plan is a must. It may be easier than you think to establish a budget that will work for you. Use these six steps below... 1. Set Goals. If you don't know where your finances are going, how can you reach your destination? Establish your own desired goals for paying down debt and saving money for the future. Goals are a road map to where you want to be. 2. Determine Current Spending. Write down everything you spend over a three-month period. Try to account for ALL of your spending. If you pay by credit card, check your receipts. If you spend cash, write down what it's for. 3. Determine Your Current Budget. Take the information from Step 2 and put it into the Budget Calculator to determine what your current budget would look like based on your present spending habits. You will be able to recognize the excess right away and see where your problem areas are. 4. Create a New Budget. Now it's time to redirect some spending in ways that will help you reach your goals. If you can, try to find ways to free up more money for savings or to pay off consumer debt. 5. Measure Your Progress. Continue to keep records, and once every three months assess your progress. Are you paying down debt? Are you building your savings? As you go along, you may need to reassess either your goals or your budget. 6. Reward Yourself! Your budgeting efforts should be a combination of hard work and fun, so create a reward system that accompanies each of your financial goals. When you make progress, reward yourself in some small way — have dinner out or go to the movies. I will do it like this... 8% Retirement 10% Savings 8% Emergency savings. like fixing the car... 10% Ticing if you go to the Church. Never spent more that you are making and always STOP and think before you buy anything... That I really need it or I want it? and the last but not less... Try to not borrow money from anyone. You need to think what will happen if I am by my own, Who will help me? Always be prepare for the future and make sure you to not!!! lend anyone money if the issue is not important, always think in your self first ( What I mean is not to be selfish but thinking that if you can't help your self you will not be able to help others. You need to be self-sufficient, that is must to survive in this World) Here it is a free student budget calculator... http://studentloan.citibank.com/slcsite/fr_fbudcalc.htm I have my own small business now and I did it this way. Wish you enough.
