How likely am I to get Financial Aid for ONLY the spring semester?
I am in the process of filing for financial aid. I read that anything filed after the deadline of March/April 2007 would only be considered for the Spring 2008 semester. Then I received a letter from PHEAA that I filed late and may not get anything. I need to get to my financial aid department of my school but haven't even been able to come up with the admission application fee so I'm asking here first. Please help me on the process of this. Thank you all! I am applying for a Community College. But I'm still so financially stressed that I can't cover the out of pocket costs and I'm unemployed to boot. I tried emailing and I never get an answer. I called and requested materials and they never came. But it's the cheapest education available right now.

- I always hated the financial aid process because there are so many ways they can ***k you over and if there is anything wrong with anything they will take your money away from you. The best I can tell you to do is some how gather the money for the fee and see if their financial aid department can help you out with your forms. Sometimes if you go to the colleges financial aid office they will help you with these things and put them through for you even though some things are late. Then sometimes, depending on what mood the people at the financial aid department are in, they will still not give you what you are suppose to be getting.
- You should call or email the financial aid office at your school. Even if you're not a student there yet, they'd be happy to answer your questions. Maybe you should try going to a community college for general education courses until you get your financial aid straightened out. Community colleges are super cheap and the classes fit your schedule well, even if you work days or something like that.
