how do you apply for financial aid and how are you qualified for it?

1. It's been a while since I did this, but fill out the FAFSA. That's the first step.
2. Go to your financial aid office at the college you wish to attend. You can fill out the forms and send them in and find our what you are qualified to receive. You need to do this several months prior to attending classes. My advice is to start the process asap! Good luck!
3. usually the college you are going to attend will have a day!! That you can go and receive help with this, however if you are being supported by your parents you will need a copy of there income tax return along with your own. If you are old enough or can proove you are and independent student you will only need your own info. Go to www.fasfa.gov you can do the financial aid all online it is faster and easier.
4. Most of the time the school has a financial aid department that will help you in obtaining loans, grants, etc.
5. Visit the college campus office administration building and they should have a financial aid office. Talk to someone in there and they will give you the proper forms to see if you qualify and for how much. You can apply for government grants there also.
