Public Comments

  1. 3 words FASFA
  2. You apply by filling out paperwork for: FASFA, any scholarship you can find, and at the school you plan to attend.
  3. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
  4. At the very least start with the FAFSA. http://fafsa.ed.gov and get that into the school(s) you want to attend. After that, contact the financial aid office of the school you want to go to for more information on aid, loans, and maybe school specific scholarships you can apply for.
  5. go to the school's registration building and follow the signs. fill out the forms to the best of your knowledge and prey for the best.
  6. Most schools have somebody who can assist you and walk you thru the process. If you are in high school, speak to your guidance counselor. If you have already choosen a school, there is usually a specialist who's entire job is helping students find funds. Ask in either the registrar's or cashier's offices.
  7. Very simple go to www.fasfa.ed.gov and the information you will need will be your 2006 or 2007 tax W-2 and a state ID or Drivers license. Once you are done and have submitted the fasfa it will give you a confirmation page. Very important to keep that in your records. If you don't have a printer to print it out copy and paste it into an e-mail and send to yourself since it will always be in your sent file. If you get stuck on anything you can contact the DOE at 8004333243 and they'll be more than glad to help you do it with you and the phone. By the way if you don't know what school to go to contact me at gsantiago@kaplan.edu and I'll help you get enrolled in an online university. I see you spend enough time online anyways. : )
