how does one start up a business without finance?

I'm a student who wish to start up a business in order for me to help in the improvement of small scale businesses in our society.

1. I don't know, but my parents did it a couple years ago and they have a great mechanic shop now
2. You can always write a good business plan and look for investors OR ask a bank for finance OR raise the capital with your friends.
3. You look for people to invest in your company, start an on-line business, or save up until you can afford the start-up costs to begin your business
4. go the sba.gov they have local chapters with FREE business councilors.
