how to finance a business partnership?
Public Comments
- Most of the time the partners finance the business. Sometimes one can find people interested in being silent partners (they provide capital and expect a return, but are not involved in day to day operations). If you incorporate and have reasonable credit, banks often will give a line of credit for the business account. Make sure you understand the terms and that you understand the cash flow cycle of your business. If you are searching for capital from venture capitalists, that is a whole other process and I recommend Osnabrugge's excellent book (see below). It explains how the system works from the other side: what the venture investors should be looking for in a company or business. Good luck with your business.
