How long does it take to Re-finance a home? Where can I find information on ReFi w/out getting a sales pitch?

Everywhere I go you have to submit your data just to get info, I just want to learn more about the process without getting calls and having a "free credit check".

  1. Seminar Real Est., Library, Internet will answer that question, Bank should have information to read and Real Est offices have things to read. Government offices, city hall.
  2. Re-financing can take place in a week. You submit your info to the lender, they qualify you based on credit history and score, income, etc. They then get a 3rd party appraisal of the home, you sign documents at the escrow company. And there you have it. If you want more specifics you'll have to deal with my sales pitch :) Best Wishes, Clint Olds Frontier Home Mortgage Eugene OR 541-681-4424
  3. Contrary to all the companies boasting about Re-fi deals its not a smart move. Refinancing companies and banks are looking to part you from even more of your money. You are further ahead (and smarter) to learn to manage your money efficiently and pocket the resulting savings for actual savings and investment.
  4. It does not take long to refinance a home. If you have your information ready-- purchase price, how long have you been there, income, appraisal, etc. Most bank websites have a good amount of information about refinancing. If you want to try a good one, check out: bankofamerica.com they have a great program going on now with no costs for refinancing and rates are guaranteed. Good luck.
