Each room has different hourly rates depending what you work as. Dealers receive tips from players. Some days I work at both rooms. I was wondering if someone proficient with Excel can make me a sheet that does the following: 1) Allows you to enter the data as (across the top columns) -date, room, hours worked, hourly (post tax), tips, tips/hour, net hourly *Raw data should not be in a table other than the sheet itself. 2) Sorts the data automatically. I figure the best way is if Excel can automatically filter "Room A" and "Room B" data as it is entered, and in a day one to three shifts are entered - so in the raw data each shift is broken down, and not averaged out for the day. That would combine all the shifts from one or both rooms and that is not desired. 3) Calculates the following in a table next to the raw data: -Total hours worked per room -Total Tips per room -Average hourly pay per day (that adds the different hourly rates, and divides by the number of days worked at one room) -Average tips per day (that adds all the tips made, and divides by the number of days worked at one room) -Average tips per hour (total tips, divided by hours worked) -Net hourly rate (adds tips per hour and average hourly rate) -Checks, after taxes (hours worked, times average hourly pay; excluding tips) -Total made at that room (Adds total tips made, and checks after taxes) Assume the following, but make it so I can change each one if hourly is ever changed: -ROOM A pays either DEALER $7.40/hr or FLOOR $12/hr -ROOM B pays either CASH $5, BREAK $7, or TOURN $9/hour -Taxes are assumed to be 25% of the hourly rate. What is inflation and how dangerous is it? Money changes hand for buying goods and services . If we denote the money as M, the velocity as V and the total goods as G and average price of the goods as P, then the equation becomes something like that MV=GP. We may think the velocity of money is constant. It changes very slowly. We can also suppose that the total good and services produced in an year is constant. So P/V is constant. Say it is K.So the equation changes to M=KP, OR Mµ P. So if M increases,the P increases. The more money comes into market, the price goes upward. But if P increases, then also M increases. That means cost is intentionally kept at higher level. This is cost push inflation and most arduous to control and needs proper government invention. Inflation is a tool to tax even poorest of the poor. Career question: Should I pursue a dual major in Finance/CIS for further career opportunities? A little history about me: I am attending Colorado State University as a Sophomore after leaving the US Navy four months ago with four honorable years of service. I am 24 years old. Since I began college, I found there are many opportunities, resources, and directions that can help me pursue a career in investment/corporate finance. My goal is to find employment/internship with a “Top-Ten” company or a Wallstreet firm. My options: 1. Double major with Finance and Computer Information Systems (additional 39 credit hours): This was suggested by a career advisor at Colorado State University. However, may cost me an additional year at college. (2.5 yrs as opposed to 1.5 years). I am not concerned with the money, but whether the effort is worth my time. 2. Finance degree with a certificate in CIS (21 additional credit hours). This allows me to add more communications courses and more economics and accounting courses to help me become more competitive. 3. Finance degree with no certificate and simply add a load of additional personal development courses, such as: advanced speaking, writing, negotiating, statistics, and additional accounting and economics courses. 4. Finance with a minor in foreign language. This was suggested by a family member involved in finance. However, this program will limit me from taking additional courses, in that, each language course is 5 credit hours apiece and every week day. Feel free to recommend something else, but please explain why you are recommending that route with consideration to making me more marketable to potential employers while being competitive as well. CSU is not an excellent school for business, so consider how I might achieve a position with one of the top ten companies or wall street firms with many of my competition graduating from more prestigious universities (HBS, Wharton, Sloan,...). Math Skill or Computer Skill - Which is more valuable for Finance Career? Especially the Corporate Finance division. I know Corporate Finance itself has lots of various division and duties so it's probably not a good idea to over-simplify it as a single job. But in terms of the basis of work involved in a typical Corporate Finance job, would you recommend a person building up his Math Skill (for developing quantitative skill) or Computer Skill (for developing programming skill)? Math seems to be extremely crucial due to the fact that Finance as a whole is a career that demands lots of quantitative reasoning and analysis skill so merely being able to do Calculus or Linear Algebra seem too basic and minimal of a skill that is required in a marketable candidate. On the other hand, Programming seem ideal because unlike mathematics, programming is a whole new skill which opens up more opportunity for the candidate. Or would neither matter as much as long as i know the basics for the two (Calculus and C++)? Note: I plan on getting CPA in the future.

I financed a computer for a friend...not paying!!? I financed with Dell Payment Plan thing and friend had no credit. We lived together, and i have since moved and so did he. Now dell is calling me about the late payments. How do i confront him about it. He also owes me security deposit money for the apt we shared. Why does my computer freeze each time I click a link inside Yahoo Finance? I have used Yahoo Finance for years and have never encountered a problem, but for the last 6 mos. I can view the live streaming Market Indices on yahoo Finance page from work, and a few other computers, but when I am at home I am not able to get the live streaming Market Indices to work. Is there a way to use the computer to manage finances? I would like to eliminate using my checkbook register and start keeping track of my finances on my home computer. Are there any programs that will add and subtract deposits and withdrawls for me? Like where I can start by what is in my checkbook and just like writing it down in my register log I do it all on the computer instead. I do NOT WISH to permanently delete all of my cookies - they're too helpful in various transactions, etc. and I don't know how to save my cookies and then to replace them. Yahoo! says to delete them ALL just so we can be sure to delete the cookie that switched us from Classic Charts to BETA Charts, which do not even display on our computers (yes, Macromedia is fully updated). We temporarily added Yahoo! Finance as a TRUSTED site and made multiple other privacy/security modifications to see if we could either be able to view the stock / ETF charts in Beta mode or else switch back to the Classic Charts. PLEASE! Would you try to help us?
